NOTIFICATION: Partial sidewalk closures on Elliott Avenue and Illinois Avenue on Thursday, October 6, due to construction for new SRJC Foundation building

On Thursday, October 6, a ten-foot section of sidewalk on Elliott Avenue will be closed off to foot traffic, due to driveway demolition and subsequent concrete repouring of the impacted areas. On Illinois Avenue, an approximately seven-foot section of sidewalk will also be closed, due to replacing sidewalk where water utilities were connected recently. Signage will direct pedestrians to use the opposite sidewalk.

The closed portions of sidewalk will be coned off, and signage will direct pedestrians to use the opposite sidewalk. Work is anticipated to take seven days, with sidewalks reopened by October 13.

Funded by the Measure H Bond, the new SRJC Foundation Building is anticipated to open in January 2023.
