David Liebman, SRJC Energy & Sustainability Manager, earned this position in a role created for him after he demonstrated the value of sustainability for the District. In this role, David has led SRJC to the forefront of energy and sustainability work for California Community Colleges. His work includes the creation of energy and sustainability standards for the Facilities Master Plan, and visionary goal setting by implementing Carbon Neutral Operations and becoming a Zero Net Energy Source and a Zero Net Non-Potable Water Ready District by 2030. To accomplish these goals, David scoped and programmed a board approved energy and sustainability capital expenditure program. The $40 million energy & sustainability capital program David manages includes $6 million in grant funding and utility rebates, with established District sustainability metrics and benchmarks.  David holds a degree in Energy Management & Design from Sonoma State University, a Climate Protection Certificate from Skyline College and is a Climate Corps Bay Area Alumni.
